Welcome to Harrison Park Academy (PK-8)
I am proud to be the principal of Harrison Park Academy. Harrison Park is a PK-8th grade school that is also a cultural center. We take pride in being a diverse staff who strives to serve each of our scholars in and out of the classroom through hands-on learning as well as a variety of after-school clubs, sports, and tutoring opportunities. We aim to help all of our families grow and be successful through multiple resources including KSSN. We are a proud feeder school to Union High School.
To our current families, we have several great resources to help your scholar be successful. To families who are looking at becoming part of the Harrison Park family, we encourage you to make an appointment for a tour or take a virtual tour. I look forward to getting to know each of your scholars.

With the help of our caring and dedicated staff, parents, and community partners at Harrison Park Academy, our scholars are encouraged to become lifelong learners. Through clear expectations, accountability, and cooperation, our scholars are able to reach their full potential.
Harrison Park Academy scholars are pushed academically by some of the hardest working teachers and staff in the profession. Our teachers diligently design their classrooms to create a culture that ensures each scholar succeeds. We support our scholars inside and outside of the classroom to help meet their holistic needs.
We represent a richly diverse community that deeply cares about our scholars and families while celebrating the unique cultures they represent. Parents, staff, and local organizations have all come together to create a learning environment that helps scholars begin to unpack their potential.
Our scholars engage in numerous activities such as field days, themed reading months, art classes, choir and band classes, LOOP, mentorships, scholar council, scholar PBIS, Washington DC trips, Future Proud Michigan Educators, a multitude of clubs, and safety patrol. We also have several partnerships with organizations such as Kent School Services Network, Department of Health & Human Services, D.A. Blodgett, New City Kids, Boys and Girls Club, and many more. Through our numerous enrichment opportunities, our scholars make many friendships within our diverse scholar body.
We have incorporated distance learning for years and are poised to be a leader in the district as a blended model of new technologies and old practices, giving our students the best of both worlds. Our 1-to-1 student technology device approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to learn inside and outside the classroom.
