GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- Two schools in Grand Rapids Public Schools earned high national and metro-area rankings in the 2024 Best U.S. High Schools rankings released Tuesday by U.S. News and World Report.
City High Middle School earned an overall score of 99.75 out of 100, making it the top ranked high school in West Michigan. City High Middle also ranked 3rd in Michigan and 44th nationally.
C.A. Frost Environmental Science Middle High School also ranked in the top 25 for high schools in West Michigan.
The highest-ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best High School rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading, and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores on an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.
"Being recognized by U.S. News and World Report has become an annual honor for City High Middle School," said Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby. "We are excited for the additional honor for C.A. Frost Environmental Science Middle High School. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our scholars, the passion of our educators, and the support of our community."
