Mark Vangoor leads his Global Politics course in mini-debates to review key concepts

Mr. Vangoor, City High Middle Social Science Teacher has created a routine where scholars can facilitate their own evidence-led debates and review large scores of information and data in under 20 minutes. Scholars work in pairs to research and construct arguments to then present to an opposing team, with opportunities for rebuttal and refutation of claims with evidence-based arguments.  Mr. Vangoor’s class encourages scholar empowerment and learning through supportive discourse, and his scholars are excited to share their knowledge and thinking processes with each other.
