GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) — Grand Rapids Public Schools are closed on Friday, March 10, 2023 due to inclement weather.

GRPS Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby announced the district’s fourth snow day of the school year due to the heavy snowfall overnight and poor road conditions Friday morning. Friday's closure is a full district closure meaning staff should not report.

“Our team went out on the roads early this morning to assess the condition for a safe commute to school,” Dr. Roby said. “It was apparent that keeping kids home was our safest choice today. We hope our scholars will use this time to do some reading and safely enjoy the snow day!”
