GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Meet Mindy Garcia Elias, a senior at Southwest Middle High School - Academia Bilingüe. She says that for her, Southwest feels like family.
“Everybody is really close - all the staff, all the students - I really enjoy that about this school.” she said. “Everybody just has that trust within each other to go to each other for help, since we have built that community in the school.”
After graduation, she is planning to attend Ferris State University to study construction management.
