GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- Harrison Park Academy is marking a century of excellence with a special celebration on Thursday, October 17. The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Harrison Park Academy, 1440 Davis Ave. NW.
The highlight of the celebration will be a program at 4:45 p.m. in the gymnasium, where current and former scholars, staff, and community members will gather to honor the school's rich history. The program will feature remarks from Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby and Principal Brad Moore reflecting on Harrison Park's impact over the past century.
Following the program, attendees will participate in the burying of a time capsule, symbolizing the enduring legacy of Harrison Park Academy.
Guests will then enjoy dinner, cupcakes, and carnival games. There will also be historic photographs providing a visual journey through the school's 100-year history. Attendees will also receive a commemorative magnet.
