GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – The Grand Rapids Board of Education has announced its first Coffee with the Board for 2025.

The gathering will happen Tuesday, March 4, from 6 – 7:30 p.m., at the Cook Arts Center, 644 Cesar E. Chavez Ave. SW.

Coffee with the Board is a time where community members are invited to meet and have conversation with board members outside of the formal confines of regular board meetings. The gathering in March will include Board of Education President Kymberlie Davis, Vice President Aarie Wade, Trustee Sara Melton, and Trustee Eleanor Moreno.

“Coffee with the Board is a chance for open, meaningful conversations with our community,” President Davis explained. “We want to hear directly from families, scholars, and staff about their experiences and ideas so we can continue working together to strengthen our schools."
