GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) — Members of the boys swim and dive teams from Ottawa Hills High School and Union High School are advancing in postseason competition.

Union Freshman Jax Schottke took first-place in the diving competition at the OK Rainbow East Conference Championship, earning an All-Conference honor and qualifying for the MHSAA Division 1 Regional Meet on Thursday, March 5, at East Kentwood High School.

"Jax possesses incredible dedication and talent," said Union Dive Coach Kelly Williams. "I am really looking forward to maximizing his potential over the next three years."

Ottawa Hills junior diver Izaiah Battle qualified for the MHSAA Division 2 Diving Regional Meet on Thursday, March 5, at Northview High School.

The Bengals also qualified the 200 Free Relay of Ewan Jacques, Wyatt Jacques, Henri Kilpatrick, and Tristin Stott, for the MHSAA Division 2 State Meet, which will be held Friday, March 13, at Eastern Michigan University. This is Ottawa Hills' 16th season of qualifying athletes for the State Meet.
