Celebrating the Ignite Summer Learning Class of 2026

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- GRPS proudly celebrated the final commencement ceremony for the Class of 2026, honoring 8 scholars who achieved graduation through the Ignite Summer Learning program.

The graduation ceremony was held on July 23 at Innovation Central High School, where families, educators, and community members gathered to recognize their achievement.

“To our graduates, today is about you. Your perseverance, your dedication, your journey.” said Harold Wiggins, Principal of Ignite Summer Learning. “You didn’t take the traditional route, but you stayed on the course, and you crossed the finish line with strength and pride. That’s something to be proud of.”

“Each of you has traveled an incredible journey to reach this day,” said Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby. “You have persevered through challenges and kept working through this summer to reach this milestone. We are proud of you, and we are excited to continue watching you grow and make a difference in this world.”
