GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – City High Middle School once again claimed the top spot in West Michigan in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.
City High Middle had a near-perfect score of 99.67 in the rankings. The score ranks third highest in the state and in the top 60 nationally.
City High Middle was also named a Blue Ribbon School for the second time last school year.
Southwest Middle High School Academia Bilingüe also ranked in the top 25 for high schools in West Michigan.
“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our scholars, educators, and families,” said Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby. “We are so proud of the scholars who are working hard every day to reach their full potential and grateful to the educators who challenge and support them along the way.”
U.S. News reviewed public schools in all 50 states and the District of Columbia for the 2026-2027 Best High Schools rankings.
