GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – The first smiling face you’ll see each day at Coit Creative Arts Academy is Ms. Cara Sauber, the school’s head secretary.
“What I enjoy most about my job is connecting with and supporting families,” she said.
Her dedication to GRPS runs deep: she has been with the district for 25 years. She previously worked at C.A. Frost Environmental Science Academy, where her children and nephew attended. Today, Sauber serves at Coit Creative Arts Academy, where her granddaughter, great niece, and great nephew attend school.
“I hope the impact I have is positive and welcoming,” she said. “I want families, visitors, and scholars to feel comfortable and safe coming into our building. I want scholars to start their day knowing they belong, and we are happy they are here.”
Known affectionately to everyone in the Coit community as Ms. Cara, she brings warmth, care, and a true sense of belonging to the school every day as a GRPS Champion!
