GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Deputy Superintendent of Preschool-12 Learning & Leadership Dr. Brandy Lovelady Mitchell has been recognized with the Jack Chaille Community Philanthropy Award from the Grand Rapids Community Foundation.
Dr. Lovelady Mitchell, who serves on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees and chairs its Centennial Campaign, was honored during the foundation’s 2025 Donor Partner Celebration.
“My main goal is to best serve our community, especially the folks who are most often at the margins or underserved,” Dr. Lovelady Mitchell said of her leadership of the Centennial Campaign. “That’s my anchor value and why I’m involved in this campaign.”
Also receiving the Jack Chaille Community Philanthropy Award were Earle S. “Win” Irwin and Dr. Juan Olivarez.
The Grand Rapids Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization that connects people, passion and resources — building and managing Kent County's permanent endowment and helping philanthropists accomplish their unique goals. The Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofits, scholarships to students and other supports to eliminate barriers to opportunity, prosperity and belonging.
