Scheduled to happen during the summer of 2025, the renovations are part of the Reimagine GRPS bond, which was overwhelmingly supported by voters in November 2023.

At Houseman Field, plans include the installation of a new track, upgraded turf, energy-efficient LED lighting, expanded parking, and modernized locker rooms. Briggs Field will see a new track, reseeding of the field, upgraded bleachers, additional restrooms, and improvements to fencing and masonry.

“Tens of thousands from our community gather at Houseman Field and Briggs Field each year, attending everything from athletic events to graduation ceremonies,” said GRPS Executive Director of Facilities and Operations Alex Smart. “These renovations will breathe new life into both facilities, enhancing the experience for our scholars, fans, and visitors alike.”
