GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- GRPS Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby has been named as one of the 200 Most Influential Leaders in West Michigan by Crain's Grand Rapids Business.
Dr. Roby has been named to the list all three years it has been created.
"This third edition of the 200 Most Influential Leaders in West Michigan is both a 'who’s who' from around the region and a showcase of some fresh faces who are making a splash in the business community," wrote Joe Boomgaard, Editor of Crain’s Grand Rapids Business. "The common theme: All of them were vetted and chosen by the Crain’s Grand Rapids Business editorial team. We accept no nominations for this listing. All selections are based solely on the collective news judgment of our team of editors and reporters."
All of the honorees were given a questionnaire. When asked about her favorite music venue, Dr. Roby shared, "I love an outdoor concert space, somewhere you can sit on blankets and soak in the sounds of live, soulful R&B or smooth jazz under the open sky."
She also noted that her first job was as a cashier at Burger King - and that, for her, “up north” begins at Traverse City.
