GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Grand Rapids Public Schools are excited to celebrate the Class of 2026 during nine individual graduation ceremonies. Here are some final reminders for next week:
Ceremony Location & Arrival
All graduation ceremonies during the week of May 18 will be held at Houseman Field, 162 Houseman Ave. NE. Parking is available in the lot on the north side of the stadium, and on surrounding streets. Please plan to arrive early, as all guests will be required to pass through metal detectors before entering the stadium. Allowing extra time will help ensure a smooth and timely entry.
Additional parking is available at Innovation Central High School, 421 Fountain St. NE. A shuttle bus will run from Innovation Central High School to Houseman Field both before and after each ceremony.
Live Stream
Each ceremony will be live streamed at live.grps.org for those who are unable to attend in person.
Weather Contingency Plan
In the event of inclement weather, ceremonies will be moved to the Union High School gymnasium, 1800 Tremont Blvd NW. If relocation is necessary:
- Families will enter through Door M near the gym
- The accessible (handicap) entrance will be Door O, where staff will be available to assist and direct you to the gymnasium
- Additional parking will be available at Westwood Middle School
If ceremonies are moved, families will be notified via:
- Email and text message
- Updates posted on our website and social media channels
Interpretation & Accessibility Services
We are proud to offer several services to ensure all families can fully enjoy the ceremony:
- Spanish interpretation will be available via simultaneous translation headsets.→ Please pick up your headset at the Interpreters Booth near the entrance.
- Sign language interpreters will also be present.→ Please look for the designated seating area marked with a banner on the bleachers for the best viewing access.
- On-site nurses will be available should anyone require medical assistance during the event.

- Senior videos available for download
- Candid photos of the ceremonies will be available following the event
