GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- The Grand Rapids community is invited to attend farewell celebrations at East Leonard Elementary and Stocking Elementary schools.
- Stocking Elementary: Tuesday, June 4, 5-7 pm
- East Leonard Elementary: Wednesday, June 5, 5-7 pm
All GRPS families, alumni, current and former staff, and the Grand Rapids community are invited. Join us for an evening of reminiscing and sharing memories as we honor the legacy of East Leonard Elementary and Stocking Elementary.
Attendees will receive commemorative postcards and magnets, while supplies last. Guests will be allowed to take self-guided tours of schools. There will also be historical photos to view along with a survey to gather feedback about the future of each building. Refreshments will be provided.
A brief program honoring the history of each school will take place each night at 6 pm.
There is limited parking available at both locations. Attendees should plan to utilize streetside parking near each school.
