GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) --
Following an impressive 2nd-place team finish at the OK Rainbow East Conference Championships over the weekend, five Ottawa Hills swimmers earned All-Conference recognition for their standout performances. These honors highlight the Bengals’ strength and depth across multiple events at the conference meet—and throughout the entire season.
- Lilianna Austin (Sophomore) – Earned All-Conference First Team honors with a 2nd-place finish in the 200m Medley Relay and a 3rd-place finish in the 200m Free Relay.
- Rowen Heethuis (Junior) – Named All-Conference First Team after a 1st-place finish in the 200m Free and two 3rd-place finishes in the 200m Free Relay and 400m Free Relay.
- Cady Kehr (Junior) – Secured All-Conference First Team recognition with 2nd-place finishes in the 50m Free and the 200m Medley Relay and 3rd-place finishes in the 100m Free and 400m Free Relay.
- Cora Sawyer (Freshman) – Earned All-Conference First Team honors as part of the 2nd-place 200m Medley Relay and 3rd-place 200m Free Relay teams.
- Ava Vohs (Senior) – Named All-Conference First Team with three 3rd-place finishes in the 200m Free, 500m Free, and 400m Free Relay.
The Bengals’ five All-Conference First Team selections highlight the team’s continued competitiveness within the OK Rainbow East Conference and build on the program’s tradition of success in recent years. Returning standouts Rowen Heethuis, Cady Kehr, and Ava Vohs each earned All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year, further underscoring the program’s depth and consistency.
In addition, both OHHS divers, Senior Cara Pazdernik and Freshman Alarie Sanders, qualified for Regionals after strong performances at the meet. They will compete next in the regional competition at Northview High School.
