GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- Grand Rapids Public Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Michelle Dexter as the new Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
Ms. Dexter joins GRPS with two decades of experience in human resources and educational leadership. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Human Resources for Swartz Creek Community Schools, located on the east side of the state.
“Ms. Dexter brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for supporting educators and staff in their critical work with students,” said GRPS Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby. “Her leadership will be invaluable as we continue our work to retain our incredible staff members and attract new members to Team GRPS."
"I am both humbled and honored by my selection to serve as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for Grand Rapids Public Schools," Dexter said. "I am looking forward to collaborating with the team of leaders as we work to continue to partner with members of the community, business and industry, and other interested stakeholders to identify and select qualified individuals to serve the scholars of the district."
