GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – The Class of 2024 at Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) has set a new benchmark for success, with both an increase in the number of graduates and a steady rise in the district’s graduation rate.
A total of 756 scholars graduated as part of the Class of 2024, marking a 10% increase from 683 graduates in 2023. This represents the largest graduating class from GRPS in the past decade.
The district’s graduation rate also continued its upward trajectory, reaching 82.53%, an increase from 82.39% the previous year.
“GRPS is a district on the rise. Not only are more scholars achieving graduation, but we are also reaching new highs for the number of scholars enrolling in college within six months of graduation,” said Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby. “This progress is a testament to the hard work of our scholars, families, educators, and community partners. GRPS is my choice for scholar success, and I encourage you to join us.”
GRPS is proud to offer a variety of school options for families, including both neighborhood and theme schools. The theme school application window for the 2025-2026 school year is currently open. Enrollment for all schools will open on March 1.
