GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) — The Ottawa Hills High School girls’ swim team made waves this past weekend, capturing first place at their home invitational. The Lady Bengals outpaced six other teams in an exciting meet.

Ottawa Hills finished with 646 points, edging out Forest Hills Northern (621) and Hudsonville Unity Christian (617).

The Lady Bengals’ victory was highlighted by five MISCA qualifying swims, four Division 2 state qualifying swims, and numerous season- and lifetime-best performances across the team.

MISCA Cuts:

  • 200 Medley Relay: Rowen Heethuis, Lilianna Austin, Cora Sawyer, and Cady Kehr
  • Ava Vohs: 200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle
  • Cora Sawyer: 200 Individual Medley

State Cuts:

  • 200 Medley Relay: Rowen Heethuis, Lilianna Austin, Cora Sawyer, and Cady Kehr
  • Cady Kehr: 50 Freestyle
  • Rowen Heethuis: 100 Freestyle
  • 400 Freestyle Relay: Lily Rodas, Rowen Heethuis, Stella Nguyen, and Cady Kehr

The Lady Bengals continue to build momentum as they head into the final stretch of their season, with their sights set on even more state-qualifying performances and personal bests.
