GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- The GRPS Nutrition Services Department is once again sponsoring the USDA-funded Summer Meals Program, ensuring that Hunger Doesn't Take a Summer Vacation. This initiative, also known as "Meet Up and Eat Up," provides meals to all children 18 years and younger at various locations throughout the city, helping to bridge the meal gap that can occur when school is out for the summer.
Throughout the summer, GRPS will offer both hot and cold meal options at various school and community sites across the city. These convenient locations are designed to make it easy for families to access healthy food for their children during the summer months.
