Induction Program Mentor Selection Criteria
The following Induction Program Mentor Selection Criteria and Matching Process have been developed as guidelines for administrators to choose mentors to serve as support for beginning teachers and have been aligned to Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching.
Within 10 days of the new teacher's arrival, administrators will assign a mentor match. When possible and appropriate, it is recommended that mentors be paired with teachers in similar teaching contexts (e.g., same grade level, content area, etc.) Please use these criteria to support the selection process. Criteria is intended for the Mentor Selection and Matching Process and should not be used for teacher evaluation purposes.
