GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- Union High School is proud to recognize three more outstanding scholar-athletes who earned conference honors this fall.

Senior Anish Kulkarni has been named to the OK Gold First Team in tennis for the second year in a row. In addition to his athletic achievements, Kulkarni also consistently earns All State Academic recognition, highlighting his commitment to excellence on the court and in the classroom. During his time with the team, Kulkarni has helped elevate both the academic and athletic standards of the Redhawks tennis program.

Sophomore Diane Howie earned Honorable Mention recognition in golf this season, reflecting significant improvement over the year. Howie’s dedication, hard work, and growing confidence have made her a key contributor to the team, and with two years of high school competition still ahead, there is plenty of room for even greater success. The Redhawks are excited to watch her continue to develop and make an impact in the seasons to come.

Junior Arie Prins also earned Honorable Mention honors for his performance in cross country. His commitment to off-season training and consistency throughout the season paid off, making him a vital member of the Redhawks distance squad. His dedication and steady improvement helped elevate both his own performance and that of the entire team, contributing to the Redhawks’ third-place finish in the division this season.
