Members of the Superintendent's Scholar Advisory Council had the opportunity to talk with state lawmakers at GRPS University on April 21 about key issues facing scholars, including school meals, cell phones, and mental health supports.

Dr. Roby also highlighted that thanks to upgrades across the district, Consumers Energy is delivering over $1 million in rebates and cost savings for GRPS. Consumers Energy is helping the district avoid nearly 5.2 million future kilowatt hours of energy usage annually. The savings were achieved over a two-year period through electrical upgrades of lighting, cooling system, and HVAC systems at 39 district buildings.
