GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- In this latest ‘Reimagine’ Vlog, Grand Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby focuses on a busy summer of construction ahead.

Teams will soon be getting to work at Coit Creative Arts Academy to build a new playground as Coit welcomes additional students from East Leonard Elementary School. There will also be upgrades to the heating and cooling systems, masonry restoration, and some doors will be replaced.

At Kent Hills Elementary School, the boiler will be replaced this summer to ensure the heating system is ready for winter.

Sibley Elementary School is getting upgrades to the roof, floors, electrical system, and heating and cooling systems.

Both Ridgemoor Park Montessori Academy and Shawmut Hills Academy will get much-needed new parking lots this summer.

The projects will all be ready for scholars and staff when they return in August. We'll keep you updated through the summer on grps.org.
