GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Art created by Grand Rapids Public Schools scholars will be on display for two weeks during the biggest student art show in Michigan.
The 2024 Citywide Art Show runs April 24 through May 9 at Western Michigan University-Grand Rapids, 200 Ionia Ave. SW. The gallery will be open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The showcase will feature more than 2,000 artworks crafted by kindergarten through 12th-grade scholars, each masterpiece capturing the vibrant diversity of perspectives and artistic talents within our city's young scholars.
“You will leave this show hopeful and happy, I promise,” said Interim Director of Fine Arts Dan Van Til.
You can also bid on your favorite pieces. If the scholar approves the sale, the artwork becomes yours. When you bid on a piece of art, you not only acquire a stunning addition to your collection but also empower the young artist behind it.
The celebration of talent and imagination is presented by Grand Rapids Public Schools in partnership with Western Michigan University-Grand Rapids, Grand Rapids Public Schools Fine Arts, and the Grand Rapids Public Schools Foundation.
