Thank you for serving as a mentor in Grand Rapids Public Schools. Your willingness to share your time, experience, and encouragement with a new teacher is one of the greatest investments you can make in our district.
I believe mentorship is the bridge that helps new teachers move from uncertainty to confidence and from surviving to thriving. The support you provide extends far beyond professional guidance. Your encouragement, listening ear, and wisdom help new teachers feel connected, valued, and capable as they grow in their practice.
When teachers are supported, they stay. When teachers stay, schools become stronger. Most importantly, our scholars benefit from having skilled, committed educators in their classrooms every day.
