GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Melissa Stine’s journey as a custodian at Sibley Elementary began close to home – literally.

“I chose to work at GRPS because my kids attended Sibley Elementary, and I wanted to be actively involved in their school and the community,” she explained. “Being part of a place that’s important to my family means a lot to me.”

Years later, she continues to make a difference not just through her work, but through the relationships she builds.

“I really enjoy working with the school staff and interacting with them,” Stine said. “Building strong relationships and collaborating with the team makes my job fulfilling and rewarding. I feel I make a positive impact by helping families connect with their classrooms.

Whether it’s greeting scholars with a smile or lending a hand to staff, Stine’s commitment to the Sibley community is clear: she is helping make the school a warm and welcoming place for all who walk through its doors.

“I truly enjoy getting to know the students and their families, which helps foster a supportive and welcoming environment for everyone,” she said.
