GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Two longtime leaders at GRPS and two current scholars were honored at the 43rd Annual GIANT Awards.

The GIANT Awards pay tribute to notable African Americans who have made significant contributions to the betterment of society.

Grand Rapids Board of Education Trustee Kimberley Williams was the recipient of the Floyd Skinner Justice Award. Williams, a proud graduate of Creston High School, has served on the Board of Education since 2019. She has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer during her time on the board.
