GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- For many families, finding the right preschool can feel overwhelming. That’s where Amy Brouwer, registrar with Early Childhood at GRPS, steps in.
“I most enjoy helping families find a preschool option that works best for them – especially families who do not speak English,” Brouwer said.
Brouwer first joined GRPS with the goal of using her Spanish skills to better serve families. Years later, her dedication remains just as strong.
“I’m still here because I genuinely enjoy my job,” she said. “I get to help families and also work with and report data.”
Her role is twofold: supporting parents and caregivers through the process of preschool enrollment, while also ensuring preschool teachers have the behind-the-scenes support they need.
“I support parents in the complicated and confusing world of preschool enrollment, while also providing behind-the-scenes support for our pre-K teachers,” Brouwer said.
Whether she’s guiding a family toward the right program or managing enrollment data, Brouwer’s work helps ensure GRPS’s youngest learners get the strong start they deserve.
