The Kent Hills Elementary School family continues to grow! During this first week of school, both kindergarten classrooms have welcomed between 30 and 35 scholars each.

GRPS is taking swift action to ensure that every scholar receives the attention and resources they deserve. We are pleased to announce that we will be adding a third kindergarten classroom starting Thursday, August 22.

"Our dedicated kindergarten teaching leaders, Ms. Christine Black and Ms. Emily Wabich, have done a fantastic job building relationships with our youngest learners," said Matthew Beresford, executive director of northeast quadrant schools. "This week they have received additional support from two staff members, Ms. Emma Raredon and Mr. Noah Carpenter."

GRPS is thrilled to announce that Ms. Raredon will be leading the new kindergarten classroom. Ms. Raredon is a certified teacher who recently graduated from Grand Valley State University. She successfully completed her student teaching at Coit Creative Arts Academy last school year.

“I look forward to joining Kent Hills," Ms. Raredon said. "I am passionate about building a sense of community, safety, and belonging in every classroom I step into. I choose to be an educator because I want to help students achieve small victories every day.”

"I want to thank our GRPS facilities team for their hard work today in preparing an additional classroom with the same new furniture our scholars have enjoyed at Kent Hills this year," Beresford said. "We know that this will be an excellent year at Kent Hills, and we look forward to working together to support your child’s growth and success!"
