GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – At Innovation Central High School, Michelle Alber is helping drive the success of the Academy of Business, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.
“I love the people I work with and the scholars and families I work for,” Alber said. “They are the best parts of my chosen career.”
Alber joined GRPS after discovering what makes the district so special.
“I chose GRPS because I fell in love with the rich diversity, beautiful cultures, and deep roots to the Grand Rapids community,” she said. “Miracles are happening every day here at GRPS.”
At Innovation Central, she guides seniors through the process of operating the school store. It’s just one way that she ensures scholars not only understand business concepts, but recognize how those skills can carry them throughout life.
“I think my favorite impact daily at Innovation Central is showing scholars that adults in their community care for them deeply and that business skills are life skills that can take you anywhere, in any job, career, or profession,” she explained.
Her pride in the school community is matched only by her pride in the scholars themselves.
“It is my deep honor to serve our scholars daily,” she said. “I love being a small part of their success stories.”
Through her leadership and passion, Michelle Alber continues to embody what it means to be a GRPS Champion.
