GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) — At Union High School, English Language Interventionist Kelsey Gichuki is finding joy in the connections she builds with both scholars and staff.
“What I enjoy most about my job is the opportunity to work closely with scholars while also collaborating with my coworkers,” Gichuki said.

“I truly value being part of a team that is passionate about refining our teaching practices and creating the best possible learning experience for students,” she explained.
Each day, Gichuki works to serve as a consistent source of motivation.
“In my role, I get to connect with many scholars and educators each day, and I hope to be a source of encouragement and support for them,” she said.
