Alger Middle School is a strong educational institution that is proud to have an outstanding team of teachers and staff who are committed to student achievement and social emotional growth. Alger Middle School students are a diverse group of exciting learners who look for achievement at the highest level. Students enjoy a welcoming learning environment where our staff work hard to meet the needs of every child. Our goal is to ensure that all of our scholars are well-prepared to not only enter, but succeed in, high school. 

Alger Middle School was built in 2006 in the Alger Park neighborhood in southeast Grand Rapids. Our building features state-of-the-art classrooms, innovative common areas, and modern technology. Our beautiful soccer, softball, track, and baseball fields allow our scholars to practice sportsmanship in the safety of our school grounds. Whether it's for academics or extracurricular purposes, Alger's campus is designed to maximize learning.
