GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- In the latest Reimagine Vlog, GRPS Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby shares updates on exciting Reimagine GRPS construction projects, celebrates the passage of the Kent ISD Regional Enhancement Millage, and invites everyone to join the upcoming Turkey Trot.

Renovation work is well underway on the historic Betty Bloomer Ford Auditorium at Innovation Central High School. The project, funded by the Reimagine GRPS with Us! bond, includes new lighting, audio equipment, and seating. When the school opened in 1911, the auditorium was the largest school auditorium in the state. President Theodore Roosevelt and President William Howard Taft both spoke in the stunning theater. In 2012, the auditorium was named in honor of First Lady Betty Bloomer Ford, a graduate of the Central High School Class of 1936. You can follow along with the renovation on the Reimagine GRPS dashboard.
