Dear Montessori Families and Staff,

I am excited to share that the Board of Education voted Monday, May 11, 2026, to approve the three-site plan for our Montessori programming. With this approval, we now have a clear roadmap for when our Montessori programs will transition into their new homes.

Project Timeline 

• Riverside Montessori PK-6 — Opening Fall 2028
• Montessori Middle High at Fountain — Opening Fall 2029
• Ridgemoor Park Montessori PK-6 — Renovations to occur over two summers; timeline to be determined

Construction at Riverside is expected to begin before the end of 2026.

We know this has been a long journey, and we are grateful for the thoughtful engagement, feedback, and partnership from our families and staff along the way. We are excited to now have board-approved direction for the future of Montessori at GRPS.

We believe this plan creates a strong path for our Montessori community by expanding equitable access, supporting a pathway toward accreditation, and providing renovated learning environments that can be completed within budget. As we have throughout this process, there will continue to be opportunities for families and staff to share input as final building designs are developed.
