Middle School Entrance Project Scope:

For the arrival of Alger Middle School scholars and staff, we will create a new middle school entrance, drop off and pickup area, new cafeteria and kitchen, and upgrade HVAC systems. 

Competition: June 2026

Auditorium Project Scope:

The auditorium will be renovated with new lights, seats, flooring, and rigging. 

Completion: October 2026

Pool Project Scope:

Project work includes deepening the dive well, replacing the filtration system, installing a new ceiling and lighting, and replacing some lockers. 

Completion: April 2027

Football Field and Track Project Scope:

The practice football field will receive new irrigation, goal posts, and natural grass. The track will be rebuilt and resurfaced.

Renovations are moving forward at Ottawa Hills High School as preparations continue for the upcoming move of Alger Middle School.

Several key milestones have already been reached. New underground utilities are now complete, clearing the way for concrete slab infill. Crews have also cut new window openings into the exterior masonry walls, bringing more natural light into renovated spaces. In addition, framing for new office walls has begun, helping shape updated administrative areas.

Looking ahead, demolition of the existing lecture hall is scheduled to take place during Spring Break. At the same time, renovations to the practice football field and track will also begin, marking another major step in transforming the campus.

These updates represent continued progress as Ottawa Hills is prepared to welcome scholars and staff into improved learning and athletic spaces.
