Fully renovate the building areas necessary for the joining of existing Ken-O-Sha Park Elementary and Sherwood Park Global Studies Academy. The school will reopen be an environmental science academy.

Construction is moving forward at the future environmental science academy at Ken-O-Sha, with several major milestones completed as work transforms the building into a modern learning environment.

Exterior and interior demolition is now complete, paving the way for the next phase of construction. Crews have installed shoring to support new structural steel, an important step in preparing the building for its renovations. Inside the building, the former pool has been filled in and is ready for the installation of the new cafeteria floor. Outside, playground areas are being prepared for new equipment that will provide engaging spaces for scholars to learn and play.

Construction continues to move forward at the new environmental science academy at Ken-O-Sha.

Crews are finalizing demolition of the southeast wing, while all interior demolition work throughout the building has now been completed. With that milestone reached, work has begun on installing new wall framing, as well as updated mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. These improvements are laying the foundation for a modern learning environment that will support future generations of scholars.
