GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) — Grand Rapids Public Schools is now accepting theme school applications for the 2026–27 school year.
GRPS offers families a wide range of themed educational experiences designed to match scholars’ interests, strengths, and learning styles. Options include the nationally recognized Blue Ribbon City High Middle School, dual language immersion at Southwest Académie Bilingüe, college and career preparatory pathways at Grand Rapids University Preparatory Academy and Innovation Central High School, rigorous academics at Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, and creative arts programming at Coit Creative Arts Academy. Scholars can also engage in hands-on learning at multiple environmental science schools, explore Montessori programs across the district, and choose from many more options available at every grade level.

- Round 1: Jan. 5 – Feb. 1
- Round 2: Feb. 16 – March 15
- Round 3: March 30 – May 1

GRPS Expo & Information Fair
Families are invited to explore all GRPS schools, including neighborhood schools, and meet school leaders at the GRPS Expo and Information Fair on Wednesday, January 28, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at GRPS University, 1400 Fuller Ave. NE. Free dinner will be provided by Dean Transportation.
Enrollment for all GRPS schools begins in March.
