Greetings from Riverside Middle School at Innovation Central! Our teachers are uniquely positioned to serve all of our scholars' needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Our scholars are given the tools to learn, grow, and thrive within the classroom and beyond.

We have incorporated distance learning for years and are poised to be a leader in the district as a blended model of new technologies and old practices, giving our students the best of both worlds. Our 1-to-1 student technology device approach ensures that every student has the opportunity to learn inside and outside the classroom.

In the debut episode of The Roby Report Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby visited Union High School to talk with scholars about teachers who are making an impact and surprise those educators with a gift card donated by Roots Brew Shop.
Contract approved to invest in GRPS educators December 15, 2025
The Grand Rapids Board of Education voted unanimously Monday to approve a two-year contract with the Grand Rapids Education Association (GREA) that will provide significant salary increases for educators.
At Grand Rapids University Preparatory Academy (UPREP), Hannah Gallon is helping scholars discover their path forward.
