GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- The Grand Rapids Board of Education regular board meetings in November and December will be held in high schools to allow greater access for community members to attend.
The meeting on Monday, November 11, will be in the Union High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Union High School is located at 1800 Tremont Blvd NW. Parking will be available in the west lot.
The meeting on Monday, December 9, will be in the Ottawa Hills High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. Ottawa Hills High School is located at 2055 Rosewood Ave SE. Parking will be available in the northeast lot.
"Hosting our board meetings in the community allows us to connect more directly with the neighborhoods we serve," said Board of Education President Kimberley Williams. "We’re creating an accessible and inclusive environment where scholars, families, educators, and community members can engage in the process and share their voices."

In the spirit of the holiday season, the Board of Education requests that community members who attend the December board meeting bring non-perishable food donations for the Ottawa Hills High School food pantry. All donations will go to GRPS families in need.
