GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- Dean Transportation will host two open houses this spring to give families the chance to learn more about its operations and have conversations about service.
The open houses are April 25 from 11 am-2 pm and May 15 from 2-6 pm. Both will be at Dean Transportation's Grand Rapids location, 900 Union Ave. NE.
Those who attend can tour Dean Transportation's facility, meet staff, and take rides on buses. There will also be technology displays and safety education opportunities. Dean Transportation will provide food and refreshments.
The open houses are part of Dean Transportation's commitment to provide multiple opportunities to connect with families. Dean Transportation hosted town halls in October and February and has partnered with GRPS to launch a new Transportation Advisory Council that meets monthly.
Dean Transportation and GRPS have also launched a new online form that immediately sends concerns to transportation leaders to be addressed.
“It is our goal to continue to work with parents and the community to have the best service possible for scholars,” said Kevin Harkness, Regional Operations Manager for Dean Transportation. “We look forward to hosting these open houses and getting to show the community what we are all about.”
