GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- Several Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS) scholars have visited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to learn more about additional opportunities following high school graduation.
GRPS led recent trips to multiple schools, including Central State University, Wilberforce University, Kentucky State University, Tuskegee University, and Simmons College of Kentucky. Scholars have also visited HBCU expos in Chicago and Detroit.
GRPS also partnered with Jash'd Belcher of HBCU Power to expose scholars to multi-week on-campus learning experiences at Spelman College during summer break.
