GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) -- In this latest ‘Reimagine’ Vlog, Grand Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Leadriane Roby provides an update on efforts to Reimagine GRPS.
Leaders from the Grand Rapids Public Schools and City of Grand Rapids continue to work together to develop a process to determine new uses for former school sites. The task force is working to define what engagement will look like as we search for uses that will add value to our community. The Board of Education has approved using the Alexander and Stocking sites as pilots for that engagement.
Planning continues to move forward on summer renovations at Briggs Field and Houseman Field. You can learn more about those projects here.
Finally, a reminder that Tuesday, November 5, is Election Day. There are four Board of Education seats on the ballot.
Schools are closed on Election Day.
