What to know:

  • Any changes you make will be effective January 1st, 2026!
  • This is your one chance a year to make changes to your benefits (outside of a life event).
  • You MUST enroll in flex spending accounts EVERY year. That means if you want a medical flex spending account or dependent flex spending account for 2026, you must go in and make that election.
  • Open enrollment is a great opportunity to view your enrollment options, review and update personal information and beneficiary designations, and find other important benefit details. 
  • If you are on or elect a HDHP, it is a great time to review your HSA election as well. The IRS has increased the HSA contribution limits for 2026 to $4400 per year for single and $8750 per year for family. 
  • Friendly reminder that there are no deductions for HSA, Flex Spending, AFLAC or any other supplemental benefits that you elect during July and August. Please keep that in mind when you are planning for your HSA deductions if you are choosing a plan with an HSA.

  • We will soon post the MESSA and WMHIP Insurance guides and information on the benefits page. It is important that you review and understand the plans that are offered to you. 
  • Depending on your group, all benefit selection and/or changes must be made through either MESSA’s online benefits website, which is accessed through your MyMESSA account at messa.org or if you are a non-union member or a member of the IA group, you will enroll in MESSA BSwift system at messa.bswift.com. Both links can be accessed through the Benefits page of InfoHost.
  • If you have any questions about the plans available to you or how to complete your benefit selections online: 
    • GREA, GREOA or UG please call MESSA’s Member Service Center at 800.336.0013.

Are there any information sessions?

  • We have a few scheduled virtual information sessions coming up should you like more information.  I am attaching calendar invites with the links for the virtual information sessions.  Please be sure to select the date that would apply to your group.  Please note if you are unable to attend a virtual session, we will be recording them and posting them on Infohost as well.
    • MESSA Insurance (GREA, UG or GREOA):
      • 10/28/25: 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm 
      • 10/30/25: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
    • Pool Insurance (Non-Union and IA):
      • 11/06/25: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

What if I need help with making my selections in person?

  • We will be communicating soon the scheduled site visits for both MESSA and the POOL should need assistance with making your elections.  Keep an eye out for that information or check the Benefits page of Infohost for more information as well!
