GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) – Meet Richard Angarita, a senior at Southwest Middle High - Academia Bilingüe.
Coming from Colombia to the United States, Angarita said that finding the bilingual environment at Southwest Middle High has been critical to his education.
“The work is interesting and it's personalized,” Angarita explained. “It does not feel like a traditional high school in many ways.”
After graduation, Angarita hopes to study history and humanities at the University of Michigan.
