GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (GRPS) — The recent conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Middle East has led to tragedy, with countless casualties and an ongoing crisis. We recognize the emotional impacts of these events, particularly on our students and those connected to the region.

Our diverse community includes individuals with ties to Israel and Palestine. As educators, we must create a safe space for our entire community to process these events and learn from them.

Some of our scholars are likely aware of these events and may have questions. To help them understand the situation better, we've compiled resources in an effort to aid in these conversations.

During challenging times like these, our commitment to empathy, understanding, and education will guide us as we navigate complex issues and support our scholars’ well-being.
