As we gear up for another exciting school, the HR & Legal Services Team want to extend a warm welcome to both our returning employees and new team members. We are thrilled to have you back and to meet those who are joining us for the first time.

To prepare for the new school year, please make sure to complete your Compliance Information including the Nepotism Form and Staff Advisories Form which can be found at hr.grps.org/dashboard.

GRPS requires every employee (temporary or permanent) to complete a nepotism form. Nepotism is the favorable treatment of family members in business practices.  The nepotism form must be resubmitted every year.

Board Policy 5240 requires employees to identify their known relatives and intimate relationships in order to avoid conflicts of interest or the appearance of such conflicts in the recruitment, hiring, employment, placement, and evaluation processes.  "Relative," for the purpose of this policy, is defined as a spouse, parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent, sibling, cousin, child, niece, nephew, grandchild, guardian, ward, household member, partner in an intimate relationship, or the spouse of any of these or any step relationship with any of these.

All employees are expected to be guided by the principles of our District including ethical behavior, openness, service, productivity, capacity, and accountability. There are special responsibilities associated with working with the young people of our community. Guided by our District’s mission, “to ensure that all students are educated, self-directed, and productive members of society,” we will work together to provide the best learning opportunity for all of our scholars.

As District employees, we are all role models; as role models, we must adhere to the Board policies and work rules set forth, as well as meet the highest standards of conduct and performance. In addition, all District employees are responsible for knowing and complying with all of the Board policies and procedures. Violation of any Board policy or participation in any of the activities prohibited in these Staff Advisories may result in discipline up to and including termination of employment.  Accordingly, please read very carefully and familiarize yourself with all Board Policies.

Completing each form is mandatory. Failure to complete the form by 9/14/2025 may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
