The event hosted 300 girls from 13 GRPS schools. The purpose of G3 is to inspire leadership skills in girls across the district as they prepare for the future. The girls participate in keynote and breakout sessions and deliver presentations as part of the day.

The keynote session titled, “What Does The Word Change Mean For You At This Very Moment?”, was given by Ms. T. DeBarge a high-school scholar. She both inspired and encouraged the girls. The girls then attended breakout sessions focused on a variety of topics, including:

  • Preparing My Posture for My Future
  • You Can’t Win. So Win: From Overcoming Adversity to Achieving Dreams
  • Glow Up Goals: Owning Every Step of Your Story
  • Exhibiting Her Excellence: Walking in Excellence, Identity & Impact
  • Who Tells Your Story
  • Authenticity, It Pays to be You
  • What’s Your Vision
  • Peace Over Perfection: Grace Over Grind
  • Flourishing on Purpose
  • Bounce Back Better: Lessons in Resilience

These impactful sessions were delivered by amazing volunteers from the community who joined in to educate and inspire our scholars. After lunch the girls delivered in elevator pitches based on the lessons from the 24-25 G3 curriculum.

The day was a huge success and the OEI Department wants to thank our amazing volunteers and Conference Leader Chavon McMurray. We also would like to thank GRCC who sponsors the program and continues to partner with GRPS.
